Scott T. Smith, D.D.S., P.C.

Dr. Smith is a proud native of Grand Blanc, Michigan. In practice since 1983, he received his doctorate from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Many consider it to be one of the nations leading dental schools as well as one of the most innovative. In addition to graduating from the University of Michigan, Dr Smith is an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the School of Dentistry. He teaches clinical dentistry one day a week to third and fourth year dental students. He finds this very rewarding and is his way of giving back to the profession he is so passionate about.

Dr. Smith continually devotes his time to the study of leading edge developments in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. On average he attends over 60 hours of class time each year. The state requirement is only 20. Since he received his first certificate in implantology from the University of Michigan in 1990, he has receive specialized training in cosmetic dentistry from Dr. Larry Rosenthal, reconstructive dentistry from Drs. Frank Spear and John Kois, and Occlusal rehabilitation from “Pete” Dawson.

Dr. Smith is a member of:

• Russell W. Bunting International Periodontal Study Club.

He has years of experience in providing family, cosmetic, and reconstructive dental care. Although not a specialist he excels in providing fixed prosthetic services such as crowns, bridges both tooth and implant supported. By using bonded veneers Dr. Smith can perform “instant orthodontics” resulting in a cosmetic smile makeover. For those patients who wear a denture he can provide dramatically esthetic replacement. He is experienced in the treatment of TMD, oral-facial pain and bite problems.

Dr Smith is married with 2 children. His son is studying engineering at the University of Michigan. His daughter is studying pre-dental at Oakland University. He enjoys water sports, snow sports, mountain biking, camping, wood working, metal working, electronics and playing percussion.

Harriet Johnson R.D.A., R.D.H.

Mrs. Johnson is a registered dental hygienist and also a registered dental assistant. She has associate degrees in both dental assisting and dental hygiene. She has 13 years of experience in the dental field.

Karen Gleason R.D.H.

Mrs. Gleason is a registered dental hygienist with 22 years experience in dental hygiene. She was the past president of the Genesee District Dental Hygiene Society. She also was voted the Dental Hygienist of the Year by the Genesee District Dental Hygiene Society.

Christa Clifford-Skunda C.D.A., R.D.A., E.F.D.A.

Ms. Clifford is an expanded function dental assistant. Ms. Clifford has the highest level of credentials recognized by the State of Michigan. She has 21 years experience in dental assisting.

Cathy Smith

Mrs. Smith is our business coordinator and Dr. Smith's wife. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.
